Overcoming Cancer Therapy Resistance

Drug resistance remains one of the greatest challenges in cancer treatment. Even when patients initially respond to targeted therapies, tumors can adapt by activating alternative DNA repair and survival mechanisms, ultimately allowing cancer cells to continue growing.

Oncovask Therapeutics is developing targeted drug-delivery platforms designed to selectively modulate DNA repair proteins that contribute to therapeutic resistance. Our lead research program focuses on using nucleic-acid-based therapeutics and advanced nanoparticle formulations to suppress DNA repair pathways that allow cancer cells to survive PARP inhibitor treatment.

Our initial development strategy is focused on PARP inhibitor-resistant cancers, including ovarian cancer, with the goal of restoring tumor sensitivity to established therapies such as olaparib. By combining molecularly targeted therapeutics with clinically validated anticancer drugs, we aim to extend treatment response while developing formulations that can ultimately be manufactured and delivered cost-effectively.
